My name is MJ, and I'm the owner of Yubela Beauty Bar, a home-based beauty studio located in South Vancouver, walking distance from Victoria Dr. & 41st Ave.

I specialize in Korean Lash Lifts & Tints and Brow Laminations & Tints, helping clients achieve effortlessly beautiful, low-maintenance lashes and brows that enhance their natural features.

Before starting this business, I worked as a Medical Laboratory Assistant in a hospital for the past 9 years. I spent my days caring for patients and supporting healthcare teams. While I valued the experience and the opportunity to help others, I always felt drawn to start something of my own. For years, I dreamed about being my own boss, creating something that combined creativity, personal connection, and the confidence-boosting power of beauty services.

That passion eventually led me to the world of lashes and brows. I've always been fascinated by how small enhancements can make such a big difference in how someone feels about themselves. After deciding to pursue my dream, I began investing in professional education and training to provide high-quality services with a strong focus on safety, detail, and results.

When I'm not lifting lashes or laminating brows, you'll usually find me spending time with my boyfriend, getting lost in a good book, or out in nature, whether that be doing some freshwater fishing or out in the river fly fishing. Whether I'm out in nature or curled up with a romance novel, I love activities that help me slow down, recharge, and enjoy life's simple moments.
